Our personal life is highly dependent on the technology that people have developed. Technology has advanced with years and it has changed the way we purchase products, the way we live, the way we communicate, the way we travel, the way we learn and so many changes have been brought about by these continuous technological advancements. As people’s demands and lifestyle change, the demand for advancing the type of technology we use is high. Almost everything we use has been innovated to better standards, a good example is the ”Mobile Phone ”, the type of mobile phones we had in 1995 is no longer in demand in this century, the demands of mobile phone users have changed greatly, and this has resulted in the advancement of mobile phone technologies.
For example, some is government funded, such as the BBC, and some is innovative enough to stay around in paper format despite the advantages of new mediums. Niche media will slip through the gaps, due to it’s incredibly small but loyal readership. For example, local newspapers will probably remain, despite the massive advantages of moving to online publishing.
But history suggests that this explanation is fanciful. During periods of technological and scientific expansion, it has often seemed that a plateau has been reached, only for a new discovery to shatter old paradigms completely. The most famous example was when, in 1900, Lord Kelvin declared physics to be more or less over, just a few years before Einstein proved him comprehensively wrong. As late as the turn of the 20th century, it was still unclear how powered, heavier-than-air aircraft would develop, with several competing theories left floundering in the wake of the Wright brothers’ triumph (which no one saw coming).
Lesser Mistakes – Machines are helping people to make lesser mistakes. Robots or machines are working accurately and you just need to program them with proper information. Like in the production of any automotive most of the manufacturing companies are using automatic machines which follow the instruction of computer or that person who is operating the machine. And all work gets done perfectly.
Other technologies under development are interventions for cognitive enhancement, proton cancer therapy, and genetic engineering. Revolutionary inventions include small underground nuclear power units called nuclear batteries that will be ultra-safe and maintenance-free; new types of photovoltaics that will make electricity from sunlight cheaper than that from coal; and myriad nano-technologies, some of which lower the cost and increase the reliability of many products – even in the poorest areas of the developing world.
